
The projects of law that establish the automatic exchange of fiscal information between Panama and Japan, and an agreement to avoid the double taxation between the Central American country and Vietnam, were delivered to the Parliament for their approval, informed today the Panamanian Chancery.
The agreement with Japan was signed last August 25 by the Japanese ambassador in Panama, Hiroaki Isobe, and the Panamanian vice chancellor, Luis Miguel Hincapié, who delivered on Tuesday the project of law that establishes to the National Assembly (AN-parliament).
The agreement with Japan is the first signed by Panama under the Common Information Norm that promotes the Organization for Economic Development Cooperation and will begin to be in force in 2018, according the official information.
Support also presented on Tuesday before the Parliament the project of law of the Agreement with the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to avoid the double imposition and to anticipate the tax evasion as for income taxes (TDT) and his Protocol.
The agreement with Vietnam was made official last August 30 in Hanoi by the Panamanian ambassador, Servio Samudio, and the vice-minister of Vietnamese Finance, Do Hoang Anh Tuan, indicated then the Chancery of Panama.
The agreements with Japan and Vietnam "constitute suitable mechanisms that complement the policies that stimulates the Government of Panama of defense, strengthening and continuous development of the platform of international services that allows to promote the transparency, integrity and competitiveness of this economic activity", he said the Panamanian Chancery.
