100% of airlines register for implementing Aviation Single Window

Hanoi Customs Department is the leading unit in the country implementing the pilot program of Aviation National Single Window. From only one airline join the system until now, 100% of airlines that operate in Noi Bai International Airport have written confirmation letter to participate in Aviation National Single Window.

The system of Aviation Single Window has put into pilot operation at Noi Bai International Airport from 1/1/2017 for receiving electronic information about cargoes from Vietnam Airlines (without providing paper records).

Additionally, from 1/4/ 2017, the Hanoi Customs Department has collaborated with the General Department of Customs and 3 airport warehouse enterprises to implement a pilot program of receiving automatic electronic information about goods of 36 airlines that working with these warehouses at Noi Bai International Airport.

Moreover, till 30/6, there are 52 airlines and 4 airport cargo warehouses have written a confirmation letter for their participation in the implementation of Aviation National Single Window.

As a result of the pilot implementation of the Aviation National Single Window with Vietnam Airlines, in the near future, the General Department of Customs will coordinate with the Hanoi Customs Department and related agencies to expand the scope and participants of the pilot. In that, receiving all kinds of information from Vietnam airlines (including passenger, luggage, flight crew information); Receiving information from other airlines that registered to join the National Single Window; Collaborating with airport cargo warehouses enterprises to build up Cargo Control system for Vietnam Airlines cargo and 43 airlines that work with warehouses enterprises at Noi Bai International Airport.

The implementation of Aviation National Single Window mechanism will help to manage cargo information from the pre-flight to the time the cargo is cleared. Thus, the work of customs management is more strictly, effectively, proactively, quick clearance, as well as identifies and manages the enterprise, passengers, cargo and key flights.

Besides that, the implementation of the National Single Window mechanism is also aimed at unifying data standards, connecting state management agencies to simplify procedures, reduce costs, and improve state management. To conform to international standards in order to facilitate to aviation enterprises when implementing National Single Window mechanism.

Moreover, businesses can reduce time, effort, and human resource for setting up, printing and preparing, submitting paper documents of each flight to various state agencies.
