
Vietnamese and Cuban Finance Ministers sign a memorandum of understanding on co-operation during the 2016-2020 period.
Vietnamis willing to share experiences, provide research documents and send experts to discuss views on financial matters with Cuba, according to Minister ofFinanceDinhTienDung.
The minister made theremarksduring a working session with visitingCubanMinister ofFinanceand Prices Olina PedrazaRodriguezin Hanoi on September 16.
Dung briefed his guest on Vietnam’s achievements in the financial sector, the focus of economic reforms and financial strategy orientations through 2020.
He also mentioned the need to improve national competitiveness and the investment environment.
For her part,Rodriguezsaid Cuba is gradually removing obstacles to economic development, adding that the country is prioritising foreign investment attraction with a target of drawing US$6 billion per year.
On the occasion, the two sides signed a memorandum of understanding on co-operation during the 2016-2020 period.
