Vietnam hopes to receive more support from the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA), a member of the World Bank (WB) group for projects in Vietnam. At a reception on Wednesday for visiting WB Vice President Karin Finkelston, who is also MIGA Chief Operating Officer, Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue hailed investment insurance forms provided by the WB in general and the MIGA in particular which has helped Vietnam gain investors’ trust, thus facilitating foreign investment in Viet Nam. He praised insurance issued by MIGA for private companies, which complies with Vietnam’s policy of private sector development.
Hue expressed his hope that the agency will continue its support for Vietnam in infrastructure and energy and reduce insurance fees applied to Viet Nam.
