Over US$ 1.47 billion earned from exports to South Korea in 2 months

Vietnam’s export of goods to South Korea is increasing. According to the statistics figures, Vietnam exported US$ 722.74 million worth of goods to South Korea in February and over $ 1.47 billion in the first 2 months of this year, rose sharply by 30.6 per cent over the same period last year.

The main items exported by the country to South Korea were textiles and garments; cell phones and accessories; computers, electronic products and components; seafood; machinery, equipment, tools and spare parts; wood and furniture; footwear of all kinds, etc.

In the first 2 months of this year, textiles and garments were leading in the list of items exported by the country to South Korea in the first 2 months of this year with the export turnover of $ 332.72 million, up by 5.3 per cent over the same period last year and accounted for 22.6 per cent of the total.

It was followed by cell phones and accessories with $ 294.89 million, rose sharply by 484.9 per cent and accounted for 20 per cent of the total.

In the first 2 months, the country’s export of petroleum of all kinds to South Korea rocketed by 699.9 per cent; that of glass and products – up by 179.5 per cent; confectionery and grain products – up by 82.1 per cent; precious stones, metals and products – down by 37.9 per cent.
