13.11.2019 02

The 2019 Vietnam-China International Trade Fair officially opened at the Kim Thanh Exhibition Centre in Lao Cai City, in the northern province of Lao Cai, on November 12, with the participation of more than 300 businesses.

The six-day event, which is part of the national trade promotion programme in 2019, aims to connect the Lao Cai market with the whole country, as well as to connect the domestic market with the Chinese market.

The fair features 205 pavilions of Chinese firms from the provinces of Yunnan, Jiangsu, Fujian and Guangdong, 550 booths set up by Vietnamese companies, and 45 pavilions of businesses from other countries and territories, such as the Republic of Korea, Taiwan (China) and Thailand.

The products on display at the fair embrace a wide range of industries, including agro-forestry and fisheries, mechanics, electronics, wood, leather, apparel, household appliances, handicrafts and fine arts.

The Vietnam-China and China-Vietnam international trade fairs are held annually and alternately between Lao Cai Province (Vietnam) and Hekou District (Yunnan, China) in an effort to boost trade exchange between investors and businesses of Vietnam, China and third-party countries and territories, for the purpose of cooperation, friendship and mutual development.

This is an ideal chance for the firms to advertise their products, goods and services, and to seek opportunities to foster investment cooperation and expand their market.

Within the framework of the fair, participating businesses will conduct trade exchanges, sign trade and tourism contracts, discuss the development of a chain of agro-products and local brands, and make field trips to a number of tourism sites and production establishments in Lao Cai Province.
