Vietnam, Romania ink training deal

Hanoi, July 19 (VNA) – Vietnam and Romania signed a cooperation programme on education and training for the 2013-2016 period in Hanoi on July 19.

The signing came during a working visit to Vietnam by Secretary of State for Higher Education of Romanian National Education Ministry Gigel Paraschiv.

Under the programme, the two sides will encourage the signing of specific agreements on the recognition of each country’s learning processes, diplomas and certificates in accordance with their respective legal regulations.

The two sides will support direct cooperation between education and training establishments of the two nations at all levels. Each will provide up to 10 full scholarships at tertiary, master and doctorate levels to the other side.

Romania has so far trained 3,000 Vietnamese engineers, postgraduates and doctors. There are currently 26 Vietnamese university students in Romania.
