Ninh Binh, August 7 (VNA) – The Lawrence S.Ting Community Support Fund of Taiwan ( China ) on August 7 presented 220 wheelchairs, worth 377 million VND, to people with disabilities in the northern province of Ninh Binh.
The wheelchairs will make it easier for people with disabilities to go out and meet with others, thus helping them integrate into the community.
The Lawrence S.Ting fund was set up in Ho Chi Minh City in 2005. It has so far supported many social and charitable programmes in Vietnam , including the donation of more than 9,000 wheelchairs to disabled people in more than 30 provinces and cities nationwide.
